I figured out that lossy compression doesn't look nearly as bad as long as you have transparency disabled. The two don't go well together.

This one's an interesting edit. This shot never happened in the show. I used footage from a DBZ episode where Vegeta is speaking, saying some lines, while his scouter is displaying scouter shit. I took that footage, cut out all the frames where his mouth is open, and then did some additional editing to make things look better.

This one's a hell of an accomplishment. To keep things under tumblr's 3 MB limit, I usually keep things at around 2 seconds or so and often lower the color depth.

I fit this into 3 MB at 6.5 seconds, full 25 fps (well, parts of it), and a full 256 colors. It took a lot of work.

Been saving this one for a couple weeks. (I keep a stockpile so I'm still able to update my blog each day even if I didn't make anything)

I got pretty creative on how to get this one to a decent file size. Involved a lot of frame by frame work.

(My version has half as many scan lines as the original, but I still had to have each line show up bright and then fade before the next line appears)
