I don't know, it is probably bullshit because the movie looks like every other chinese creature movies, the effects aren't that good Land Shark looks a lot better.

It is really similar to Deep Blue Sea, they probably wanted to reboot it for the chinese audience

theres apparently another chinese movie called king of snakes (or thunder of gigantic serpent) but it doesnt seem to be related to this one (doesnt seem to even have a train)
