It was tough getting that camera pan to work right for the goku banner. I thought I'd try doing another one, this time using the boss from Final Fantasy 6. Used a slightly different method cause I forgot how I did it the first time.

Edit: hold on i fucked up the banner

ya i thought about it and theres a way to do it: make it 3d hologram foil nobody can mess with that unless it gets scratched so we just put a guard on it no biggie

you'd have to print the forums with a special 3d hologram foil printer which i can provide for a fair and reasonable fee. totally fine

Please fix this monstrosity for me. Its not really supposed to be a banner its just horribly unoptimized and gigantic.

Making these using only android apps is not ideal.

~1.5 megs, down from 11 using ezgif's transparency optimization tool at 4% fuzzification

the frame-to-frame color value changes in this are dominated by quantization noise, it's really visible on mickey's face and the light portion of your dog's bed but if you look closely it's pretty much everywhere. This is a common issue with camera recordings just as the result of the camera not being on a tripod, the lighting not being hollywood consistent, etc but for shots like this where huge portions of the sceneery remain static, optimizing transparency does wonders

I usually have transparency on when outputting from photoshop, but I always leave it at 100%. I should try fucking with the number

When I optimize gifs in photoshop, the main things I mess with are palette size, dithering level, and lossy gif compression level. It also has a few options to auto-pick your palette that I try out.

Here's the settings I used to get my most recent gif under 3 mb.

idk if there's any point in messing with the Matte setting, I have no idea what Web Snap is, and I should learn more about how the transparency stuff works. You seem to know what you're talking about @proof of concept . Got any tips?

web snap converts pixels values to web-safe colors, whatever that means. I'm sort of surprised it reduced the filesize. Matte is for making the edges of a non-rectangular image look more smooth against the background of a webpage or whatever that has a known, solid background color the gif will be on top of. So messing with that won't help with filesize optimization for the stuff you're doing.

Try dialing the transparency setting back by 3-5% and see if that changes anything
