here's my "hello world" of creating a parallax scrolling animation. pretend these are mountains and trees

i've got stuff less blurry now (preserving hard pixel edges at least in after effects) but i haven't figured out how to get the foreground layer to completely obscure the background layer yet. i think AE is moving the layers to subpixel locations each frame and that's messing up when the foreground pixels are covering up the background pixels.
