This took me a long ass time to make. I guess I gotta embed a tumblr post cause I can't find any other way to post this one. imgur didn't even work.

The previous gif I made of Android 17 vs Kakunsa in 8 seconds was the inspiration for this. I decided that instead of a full fight, I would try to condense a full episode with 3 fights into as short a time as possible.

I guess if you don't want to spoil episode 105 of dragon ball super then don't watch it

I may as well link the 720p version of the android 17 eight second fight too.

Got some more. I cranked these out in a bit under 2 hours.

This one came out kinda crappy cause I'm keeping everything under 3 mb.

what a shame I can give you only one Gold Doubloon for those amazing GIFs

I liked when the fat lady was blown away by no-effort Vegeta, that owned.

Also, SSJ3 Caulifla will be hilarious. She'll be the first person to make good use of that form, hopefully.

It never seemed to do much for Goku, unless we're counting the movies.

Cabba's energy beam stance looked a lot like Vegeta's Galick Gun. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but it was pretty damn cool.

I've been learning a bunch about how to tweak stuff to balance file size and image quality.

That's good, maybe you can teach me stuff, although I am still stubbornly using photoshop for everything.

Ultimately, I need to learn to get good at making WebM videos, they're low file size, high quality videos with audio. GIFs are getting phased out. But you need a special place to upload them to, and you need to know how to encode them properly. Pretty sure imgur doesn't allow those types of files.

So far my stuff seems to get the most exposure on tumblr, and gifs are still pretty popular there. Max size is 3 mb. The newer animation formats are nice, but there's still limited support for them.

What I do right now is do the editing in Premiere, output that to an mp4, load it into Photoshop, and export to gif from there since you get a lot more options to play with. It'll even tell you the file size before you export it.

I make everything roughly the standard resolution for embedding in a tweet, and generally wouldn't want to go much smaller. The one thing I won't compromise on is framerate. File size optimization pretty much comes down to just messing with the color options. That's how I do it anyway.

I wonder if you could go from Premiere, export an MP4, then create a WebM file with that as your source.

Might need to download some specialized software for the WebM creation, though. But it seems to be worth it? Just being able to add audio adds a whole new dimension. Like, for example, imagine how cool that Cabba GIF would be if you could hear him using his energy beam.

I'm really thinking out loud here, since I need to do the same thing. Adding audio is something I've wanted to do forever, it makes jokes funnier. How much better would a new krust be if there was some hilarious soundtrack and sound effects behind it, you know?

File size for WebM seems to be in the same neighborhood as a GIF, too. The format compresses stuff down pretty well.
