until they get that thing fixed, the only way to get stuff to play is to have photoshop/ae/whatever write out to a massive uncompressed .gif and upload that; imgur will convert it to mp4 on their end without loss of quality, or at least none that I noticed at first glance*
It's kind of a hassle, but as long as the gif is less than imgur's 200 MB limit it will at least work right in forums posts on here
*the size of mp4s that imgur makes is inconsistent. There are a few possible explanations for that. I'm going to mess around with it some and see whether they're doing anything that affects the actual pixel values, and if so, by how much. I can check it out for this particular animation too if you want, just upload the mp4 you originally made to dropbox or something
